Prepare for Christmas

It's officially December which means it's Christmas time! Christmas is an exciting and happy time of year. We have listed five ways to prepare for this fun and busy season!

STAGE 1: Decorate! Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, you can pick up all your Christmas decorations without feeling bad. Put up your tree, stockings, lights, wreath, Christmas pillows, ect. and you're sure to get into the Christmas spirit!

STAGE 2: Make holiday treats! Make peppermint bark by melting white chocolate, crushing up candy canes, and putting it in the freezer overnight. Such an easy holiday staple! If you want to become a little more complex with your holiday treat than make Chocolate Mugs! What you'll need is melted chocolate, jumbo marshmallows, mini marshmallows, tiny candy canes, and sprinkles!

Dip Chocolate Mugs

  • Step one: Dip the jumbo marshmallows in the melted dark chocolate

  • Step two: Break the tiny candy cane in half and insert it into the side of the marshmallow to look like a handle for the mug.
  • Top off the jumbo marshmallow with tiny marshmallows and sprinkles! Let the chocolate harden for about ten minutes and you're done!!

STAGE 3: Watch Christmas movies and listen to Christmas songs! Some good Christmas movies include Home Alone 2, Christmas with the Kranks, Christmas Vacation, The Grinch, and more!! These movies will surely get you even more into the Christmas Spirit! Also, some good Christmas songs include, Ariana Grande's Christmas album, Michael Buble’s Christmas album, ect!

STAGE 4: Relax and enjoy the break!! Curl up on the couch with some hot chocolate and watch your favorite Christmas movie with your family. Christmas is a time to spend with family and friends, and also to take a pause from your busy life. The holiday break is only 20 days away!! Merry Christmas and GO JAGS!!
