Sherburn Hungate Weekly News - Issue 16
A word from Mr Broom
The first week in school has been an incredibly positive one. Everyone seems to have settled really well into their learning. I started the week with an assembly all about 'new year, new start' and setting challenges to make us even better. The children have certainly risen to the challenge.
Next week, we have Peter Wilson (STARMAT Trustee) visiting school. It will be Peter's first visit to Sherburn Hungate and I'm sure he will be incredibly impressed! Thursday is also Languages Day. Miss Smith is co-ordinating a series of exciting activities for all classes to explore.
Finally, I've added the Learning Journeys for each class to the bottom of this newsletter. Please take a look at your child's learning journey so that you can see what they will be learning.
Clubs for the Spring Term
Uniform Reminder
Additionally, the school uniform policy on footwear is black shoes. We have a small number of children who attend in trainers, boots etc. Please ensure your child wears black shoes to school.
Thank you, as always, for your support in this matter.
