PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE SIGN UP - FALL 2022

Dear Country Dale families,

We had Parent/Teacher Conferences for 4K through 5th grade on Wednesday, November 2 and some families will still be attending on Thursday, November 10 from 4:30-8:00 pm. If you have not done so already, please sign up for a 15-minute time slot for November 10th.

While conferences are a great time to check in with teachers, please remember that the best communication with parents is communication at the “right time” for the “right reason.” Parents are encouraged to utilize all methods of communication available (i.e. checking PowerSchool, asking students to show what they are doing through Google Classroom, reviewing emails or updates from the teacher, checking child planners, etc) to be informed and active partners in their child’s educational experience.

When signing up for conferences, if you have multiple children in the school, we recommend that you complete this process early for the best chance at grouping your conference times together.

We request that parents who live in separate households schedule just one conference with each child’s teacher. By attending the conference together, we are able to share the same information with both parents at the same time. If this will not be possible for your family, please contact your child’s teacher.

Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Please use the student's name when signing up. Thank you!

CD FOOD DRIVE - OCT 31st - NOV 11th

Want to help make our community a better place to live? Join us in donating to our food drive! The food drive will occur Monday, October 31st thru Friday, November 11th. Please bring in non-perishable food such as canned goods, boxed food, or anything that won’t go bad or expire over time. Donated items can be placed in the box outside of your student's classroom. Items will then be sent to the Muskego Food Pantry. We would appreciate it if you and your families are able to donate to our community.

YOUR CHILD’S EMERGENCY CONTACTS

After the lockdown incident at Franklin High School last week, we examined and reviewed how quickly the messages were getting to families after we sent them. The time for messages to move from us to parents during that incident experienced a small lag. After reviewing this with our messaging provider, we learned of a more efficient way to send messages out during emergencies. As Monday came around and FPMS went into lockdown, evacuation and reunification, the district emergency broadcasts that went out not only went to listed parents/guardians, but also to any “emergency contacts” that are associated with your child(ren) as listed in PowerSchool. Sending these as emergency-level messages allows for emails and phone calls to go out quickly through the system.

We share this with you so you understand that there may be times when your emergency contacts will receive information from us in situations like this. Please share this knowledge with your emergency contacts so they are in the know. We always work to identify ourselves as “Franklin Public Schools” when sending messages. If you wish to change your emergency contacts, you can connect with the main office staff at your child’s school.

VISIT THE LOST AND FOUND DURING PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE NIGHT

While you are in the building the next couple of weeks for Parent Teacher Conferences, please stop by the Lost N Found! We currently have it located in the hallway between rooms 20 and 22. Signs are posted on the wall just above the cubbies indicating the area. Click here to view some pictures of items in the Lost N Found. Thank you!
