ABOUT THE COALITION
The Human Resources Department has begun a new collaborative process to improve the culture of our organization. In it, a Culture Change Coalition has been formed to be a catalyst for change through collective efforts with departments. The Coalition is a cross-functional working group of City employees whose charge is to increase awareness and understanding of culture-related concerns within and across City departments. The Coalition will also facilitate citywide resolution of issues and challenges through assessment, engagement, collaboration and information-sharing.
To establish a climate of close collaboration among all departments to share ideas that will effect and sustain positive change in workplace culture.
A change catalyst that provides innovative solutions to alleviate organizational challenges through partnership, communication, respect and efficiency.
COALITION MEMBERSHIP PROCESS
- Membership is open to City employees who are at pay grade level 21 and above
- Participation is voluntary and is granted based on self-nomination by the employee
- Employees must receive approval to join the Coalition from their immediate supervisor or designee
- Coalition members are asked to serve a two-year term
