Vince Gilligan attended L.C. Bird High School in Chesterfield, Virginia (Class of 1985). Later on, he attended the Tisch School of Arts at New York University (NYU), where he studied film, and graduated in 1994.

Gilligan's most known for his shows Breaking Bad and spin-off series Better Call Saul. Breaking bad delivered an astounding 10.3 million viewers during its finale, and is said to be one of the best television-series' of all time. Gilligan said in an interview that his biggest influences for directing the show Breaking Bad were Classic Television and the movie the Godfather.
