Monthly Cowboy News
September 2022
Dear Riverside Elementary Families,
Welcome to our second month of school. It has not been easy, but we have managed to make the best of our circumstances. The pick-up and drop-off is working much better as everyone adapts and adheres to procedures. We thank Banes construction company for working as fast as the weather permits to construct our parking lot. We understand that to have the best product we must give them the necessary time.
We will have to minimize the amount of large events held until we have adequate parking facilities. For this reason our grandparents celebration will be done by each individual classroom creating projects honoring our students' grandparents and sending them home with the students.
We wish all our grandparents a wonderful Grandparents' Day on Sunday, September 11th. Grandparents are the footsteps to the future generation. Thank you for all the support you give our students and their families!
Parent Teacher Conferences are on Wednesday, September 14th from 4:00-6:30 p.m.
Due to the lack of parking on campus, parents are welcome to come in person on September 14th, or schedule a virtual or phone conference with teachers through out the week of September 12th -16th. Your child's teacher will be in contact with you.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ureño-Olivas

PERFECT ATTENDANCE
Parents, please ensure to bring your child to school EVERYDAY.
We need your help. Currently Riverside Elementary is third from the last place of all elementary schools in the district. The district average is 94.42% and we are at 93.09%. Every student counts. If students are not in school, they can not learn. Help us meet our attendance goal of 96%.
