Who wants to be on TV??? The Spirit of McIntosh does!!
Chick-Fil-A Midtown has graciously agreed to host Spirit Night on Tues Nov 28 5:30-7:30. They will donate 10 % of sales and we are planning to donate or proceeds to CHOA.
The winning band will be featured on a commercial bump-in during the live broadcast on WSB-TV and is given a special shoutout by the WSB broadcasters during the live on screen performance! Lithia Springs is leading right now with $425. The other bands behind Lithia Springs all have the same amount we do....$0! So, let's do this Chiefs! Let's all chip in a little so our band can have the spotlight!

General Info: Lineup numbers and arrival times will be sent next month but arrivals will be scheduled between 9-10:15. All of the groups have staggered arrival times which will assist in a smooth arrival process. There should be volunteers meeting you when you arrive to walk you to your lineup area. We also try to cut down on the waiting time for the members and don't ask you to arrive much earlier than 1.5 hours before you need to be moving. Please keep this in mind in your plans.
Parade Route and Information: The route stretches one mile along Peachtree St. between 15th and 5th Streets. The TV performance zone stretches for a city block between 12th and 11th Streets which is four blocks into the parade. Plan on playing the entire length of the TV Zone as the cameras can pick you up from anywhere along this area. Plan to go into an immediate roll-off at the end of the tune to play again in the TV Zone since it's likely you'll need to play it more than once. TV directors don't consider drum cadences to be "playing music" and will move onto the next unit. The parade may pause a bit before reaching the TV Zone but it's important to stay @40 ft behind the group in front of you until you reach the TV Zone where I will be located to pace you through the zone.
There are two medians in the first two blocks of the parade. Bands must split these having half the band on one side and half on the other while continuing forward motion.
Bleachers: If some of our supporters would like to cheer on the band from the bleachers, please go to the parade website - www.choa.org/parade where seats can be purchased.
