Over the past few class periods, students participated in a Jigsaw Activity where student teams created math presentations on different assigned lessons by Mr. Leins. Teams then got feedback from Mr. Leins before making their final edits. Each team member then met with another member from every other team and students took turns teaching and quizzing other students on their respective content their team was assigned. Students did a great job working together, creating and editing presentations, presenting to small groups, asking questions, solving problems, and providing feedback throughout the Jigsaw Activity. Great work students!

As a part of our Veteran's Day Assembly, scheduled for November 11, 2022 at 8 am, we would like to honor the brave people in our community who have served or are currently serving in the military. To include a member of the military to be honored during our assembly please share their name and the branch of the military they served in or are currently serving in, an optional picture, and bio or information about their time serving in the link below. 'NO PARKING' SIGNS IN THE AREA: Parking is defined by stopping, standing, even if the vehicle is occupied - if you see a 'No Parking' sign DO NOT PARK THERE.

NO U-TURN: No U-Turn anywhere on Caley in the school zone.

ILLEGAL TURNS:

• Going Eastbound on Caley there's no left turn onto Elmira Circle West.
• Eastbound on Caley no right turn onto South Florence Way.

REMINDERS:

• Vehicles should NOT block driveways or fire hydrants at anytime even if you are in line. Make sure you leave a space between the car in front of you to keep the driveway/fire hydrant clear.
• Vehicles will be cited and towed at owners expense.
• It is a school zone so during morning and afternoon drop off/pickup the speed limit is only 20mph.

Attention all CCA Middle School students: Peer Helpers will begin meeting on Friday August 26, 2022 at 7:15am in Mrs. MacFarland's room. Any middle school students who are interested in participating in our Peer Helper program should plan on attending this meeting. Peer Helpers are a group of Middle School students who are trained in leadership skills in order to help their fellow CCA community. Beginner band will have a specific schedule for the month of August.

Monday, August 15 = All new to band students. No instruments needed this first day.

Wednesday, August 17 = Woodwind students only (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone)

Monday, August 22 = Brass and percussion students only (Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Drums)

Wednesday, August 24 = All beginner band students will meet each day continuing according to the schedule.
