A Message from our Assistant Principal.......
Happy Friday! We loved celebrating Wylie Way style this week. I love listening to Bears talking about their dreams and aspirations. Thank you to all of the volunteers that worked countless hours to make this day so special.
Don’t forget that next Friday, Feb. 15th, is our class Valentine’s parties. I would recommend getting your Wylie ISD PreCheck badge before then if you haven’t already done so. Parents that have their Wylie ISD PreCheck badge, will not have to stand in line to check-in on party day. Please see Mrs. Teri and Mrs. Tammie in the front office to get your PreCheck badge. Remember that you must have a background check on file before getting the badge.
Have a great weekend!
BEARy best wishes...
-Mrs. Halligan

A Message from Nurse Abby.....
Happy Friday Bears!
Parents, it’s not too late to get your family a flu shot. Flu season is underway, which means you can still protect yourself. The CDC states the flu season can last until May. Most walk-in clinics (18 months and older) and pharmacies (adults 18yrs and older) in Wylie still have flu shots, but call to confirm before going.
Please remember to follow our WISD policy for sick students. By keeping your child home, you are reducing the spread of germs that potentially cause illness. A student must be fever (100.0 or above), vomit and diarrhea free for 24 hours without the use of suppressing medications before returning to school.
Please remember to send a refillable water bottle to school with your child. Have a great weekend!
Stay Healthy,
Nurse Abby

A Message from our School Counselor......
Happy Friday Bears!
Many Thanks to All the Volunteers!!
Thank you to all the parents who came to help us get ready for our big Wylie Way day this past Wednesday!!
Desiree Sosa and Lisa Young- Thank you both so much for making copies for the teachers as well as counting out all the supplies needed to make this a fun day for the students. Not only did you prepare and count out what they needed, you passed them out to each teacher so they would have everything they needed in advance. You ladies ROCK!
April Campbell, Rebecca Cullen, Tanya Bougacha, Naomi Sommers, Sana Ashad, and anyone else who I may have left off- All I can say is WOW! You ladies are crafty and have mad decorating skills! You helped the staff in creating Wylie Way magic for our big day. Without you ladies, and all the staff that pitched in, our Journey to the Mountaintop vision would not have come alive. As the kids walked the hallways yesterday morning, they were in complete awe! We are all so very grateful!
Safety Patrol
We are looking for a few more 4th graders to join our Safety Patrol team. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Ray!
Current Safety Patrol Members- Please make sure you are here for your scheduled time. If it is below 40 degrees or bad weather, you are to open the school doors for students to welcome them in. If you are unable to do Safety Patrol, please let me know. It is okay if it is not working out, but we just need to know. The next group is:
February 11-March 1- Safety Patrol (Blue Group)
March 4- March 29 (Green Group)
Valentines donations!!
While picking up Valentines for your children, please consider picking up an extra box for those students who may not be able to bring them. Donations will be accepted in Mrs. Ray’s office through Friday morning. Thanks in advance for helping out our Bears!!
Upcoming Wylie Way Dates:
Wednesday, February 27- Wylie Way Day Follow Up- Students and teachers will revisit the lessons learned on our big Wylie Way day.
Have a fabulous weekend!!
