WELCOME!
Thank you for registering for our annual 3-Day Parent Practicum in Cypress, July 25-27! We are thrilled that you will be joining us! Can you believe that our practicum is next week? We look forward to spending this time together, learning and encouraging each other in the hard work of educating the next generation. You, along with many other parents, will practice the skills needed to teach your children and youth how to recover the lost tools of learning, while also learning to see God in all you teach.
Please carefully read through the all of the various information listed below regarding location, times, arrival, camps, training, and lunch. If you have any questions, please contact Support Representative, Jennifer Bettis at jbettis@classicalconversations.com.
We look forward to seeing you and your family Wednesday morning!
Blessings,
Your Cypress Practicum Team
Cypress 3-Day Practicum @ Houston's First Baptist Church--Cypress Campus
The Cypress Practicum will be held at Houston's First Baptist Church--Cypress Campus, located at 11011 Mason Road, Cypress, TX 77433, wtihin the Bridgeland community.
We are grateful for the use of this beautiful, brand new church facility, and we purpose to respect the building, its contents, and its occupants at all times, knowing that our conduct is an example to others. As a Christian organization, we want to exemplify Christ in our actions - keeping the building clean, not running in the hallways, and being polite and courteous to others.
Parents, it is imperative that you watch your children at all times, to and from camps and during lunch. You will also want to label important possessions (backpacks, notebooks, etc.) with your child’s first and last name so that we can reunite lost items with their proper owner.
***NOTE***We will be collecting an offering for the church to show them our appreciation of their generosity. Please give as you feel led! You may make any checks payable to HFBC.

Our wonderful Hospitality Team has arranged for some catering options for us on Days 2 and 3; feel free to take part in these options, if you'd like!
Day 1/Wednesday 7/25--on your own; feel free to bring your own brown bag lunch, or make a quick run to local eateries. There are several popular restaurants within driving distance (McDonald's, Subway, Wendy's, Zaxby's etc). You can find these easily on your smart phone maps. If you choose to get lunch at those places, we recommend that you call ahead to order and pick up to save time, as there will be drive-time to consider.
Day 2/Thursday 7/26--Boxed Lunch from Panera Bread: PRE-ORDER & PAY HERE
Day 3/Friday 7/27--Papa John's Pizza: PRE-ORDER & PAY HERE
Of course, you are, again, welcome to bring your own lunch from home or pick up lunch, if you prefer not to order on Days 2 or 3.
**Afternoon sessions start PROMPTLY at 1:00**, so plan to be back on campus by 12:40 in order to get into the building, kids to their camps, and you to your training or general session.
**Parents, remember that you are responsible for your children during lunch. Please do not allow running through the building or in the parking lots. Please clean up your lunch area and dispose of any trash. Thank you!
See you next Wednesday, July 25, at 8:30am!
Again, we look forward to seeing you, and are excited to dig into the classical method as we discuss "The Art of Grammar: Unlocking Language" in our homeschools. We are praying for you and your family as you prepare for our time together!
God bless you!
