Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences are a great way to collaborate with your child’s teacher and learn how your child is doing in school. During the 15-20 minute conference, the teacher will review your child's current assessment data, work habits, and social behavior to establish learning goals for your child.
It's also a great time for you to ask questions or talk about any learning-related concerns. Input in the following areas would be helpful:
- What does your child say about school?
- What are your child's special interests/out-of-school activities?
- Does your child have regular responsibilities at home?
- Is there anything else we should be aware of that may affect your child's performance in school?
Creating a partnership with your child's teacher around your child's learning can make a big difference. Within the next week, your child's teacher will be reaching out to you to schedule a conference. You will have the option of in-person, a phone call, or a virtual meeting. Please make every effort to arrive at your scheduled time.
Should you prefer an in-person conference, the following protocols will be in place:
1. Conference participants will need to wear a mask as soon as they enter campus;
2. Conference participants will need to maintain 6 foot distancing when indoors.
The early dismissal bell schedule will be followed. Wildcats Grades TK/K will be dismissed at 1:10 p.m. (Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.). Wildcats Grades 1-5 will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
Modified Quarantine
Through a partnership with the California Public Health Department (CDPH) and BayPLS (our District's mobile testing agency), we can offer a modified quarantine option which allows our students to stay in school after exposure to COVID positive contact.
More detailed information about Modified Quarantine can be found on the Altamont Creek Website. If this option is appealing to you, please complete the testing registration and consent form. Should a positive COVID case be found in your child's classroom, we will defer to the registration database. If you have pre-registered for Modified Quarantine, you child will be able to remain in school. Otherwise, you will need to pick up your child to begin the traditional 10 day quarantine at home.
Toys vs Tools
We have had a significant amount of students bringing toys to school. This includes pop its, balls, fidgets and other toys. Toys are not allowed at school unless the teacher requests as a reward/incentive. If your child needs a fidget to use as a tool; that is a conversation you can have with your child's teacher. We do not want valuables lost or stolen. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Lost & Found
Susan Dhillon, a parent at ACE, is heading up our Lost & Found efforts this year. She will be organizing items placed in our Lost & Found. If you are looking for something specific, please text her at 508-345-3437. We will also have all Lost & Found items out front periodically throughout the year for students and parents to find lost items. Please look out for more information as those dates gets closer.
Warmly,

SAVE THE DATE! October 6th is International Walk and Roll to School Day. The celebration is designed to encourage students, families and the school community to roll, walk, bicycle, take transit, or use other non-motorized transportation to get to school.
Throughout the day, students will share how they got to school by placing a sticker on our mode chart under the corresponding category that matches how they got to school. Participating students will receive fun giveaways and take part in a global event with students around the world.
Bikes and Brews Fundraiser
Universal Free Lunch
"Our Child Nutrition Department is excited to share that all students, regardless of family income, can receive a daily school lunch free of charge for all instructional days in the 2021-22 school year! While a free and reduced lunch application does not apply this year, completing the Alternate Income Form can result in students qualifying for additional benefits such as Pandemic EBT, scholarships for placement exams, and discounted internet service."
