Annotation
Eel is an orphan and a "mudlark"; he goes to the filthy River Thames, looking for bits of things to sell. Eel is being haunted by a man named Fisheye Bill Tyler. Eel also has a secret that costs him four shillings a week to keep him safe. Everyone believes that the deadly cholera ("blue death") is spread through poisonous air. But Dr. John Snow, has a different theory. As the epidemic surges, its up to Eel and his best friend, Florrie, to gather evidence to prove Dr. Snow's theory before the entire neighborhood is wiped out with the "blue death".
My Favorite Character
My favorite character is Eel because, he seems so honest and caring to everyone. He has many troubles of his own and even though he knows the "blue death" is going around he still helps Dr. John Snow gather evidence to prove the doctor's theory. His honesty and bravery make him a great character.
My Recommondation
This book has a lot of mystery and suspense, so if you love suspense and mystery i strongly recommend this book. This book can be a little confusing at first, but once you really start to read it you get hooked on it.
