The Netbooks will remain in your classrooms at this time. When you have one that no longer works, you can turn that in to Kaye and we will add it to our technology salvage. Items in salvage get picked up during the summer months.
Think Through Math training for 3rd & 4th grade teachers

If you would like to attend, please sign up in My Learning Plan (session name: Think Through Math – 3rd and 4th grade)
This is not a mandatory training although we would love for you to join us!!
The training will give educators a better understanding of how Think Through Math works and how to run reports to drive instruction in your classroom. If you plan on attending, please make sure your login for TTM is correct and that all your students have been entered prior to training.

KISD Strings Concert
On Thursday, December 18, the strings students will be performing a short winter concert in the cafeteria at 5:00 pm. They should be totally out of the building by 6:00! They are expecting 120-150 parents to attend so our parking lot will be full.
Please lock your classroom doors before leaving school Thursday afternoon.
Great Things are Happening because of the Sunshine Committee!
We have lots of fun things planned:
- December 1 - February 27th - Every Wednesday is Warm-up/Wind pant Wednesday! You may wear warm ups or wind pants. The Sunshine Committee will also be providing a hot chocolate bar in the teacher's lounge every Wednesday morning.
- On December 18th we are having a tacky Christmas sweatshirt contest. If you participate you get a jeans pass and could win other great prizes.
Spring Creek BBQ donated $1100 to KHES!
Thank you to all those who attended the Spring Creek Spirit Night on November 4th! And thank you to the teachers for handing out hot rolls and carrying trays! PTA appreciates you!

KHES needs representatives! The Literacy Institute dates are set!
The 12 day Literacy Institute is designed to enhance authentic teaching in reading and writing using research based interactive activities. Participants will experience the Institute from a learner’s perspective as trainers share writing strategies to help teachers differentiate to meet the needs of their students.
This year you have two Institutes to choose from:
Summer I: May 14,19,21,28 and June 8-11, 15-18
Summer II: July 27-20, August 3-6, Sept. 23, 30, and Oct. 7, 14
Sessions are limited to 30 participants, so sign up early to reserve your spot. Completion of 12 days = 72 CPE hours, GT and Sheltered Instruction 6 hours mailto:Joanna.email@example.com updates.
