Butter Braids Fundraiser
We are very excited to announce a brand-new fundraising event for Twin City! Those of you who are familiar with Butter Braid® pastries – you’ll be glad to know that they’ll be available soon. Those of you who are not familiar with Butter Braid® pastries – you are in for a tasty treat! Please visit www.butterbraid.com or more information on these shareable filled pastries.
All students should receive a unique link that will take a customer directly to the ordering page that will be credited to your child. Please contact twincitypta@gmail.com if you do not receive a email link. You may need to check junk/spam folders.
All Orders Due: Sunday, December 13
Delivery Date: Thursday, December 17 from 3:30-5:00 – make a plan!
Students are responsible for picking up and delivering all orders. Remember, these items are frozen. However, they can be outside of a freezer for 2-3 hours if necessary. Please try to deliver all orders as soon as possible so there is not a long delay for customers. Many people order Butter Braids to bake during the holiday season!
The proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward enrichment for students. In January we look forward to beginning some extracurricular opportunities.

Counselor Corner with Mrs. Schwarze
Happy Thanksgiving Tigers! I hope you will have time this week to reflect on all the things and people you are thankful for. We have had a fantastic month focusing on the character trait of gratitude and what a wonderful way to end this month with the celebration of Thanksgiving. Many of you will be celebrating in a different way this year and with that change can bring some disappointment, which is completely understandable. My hope is that you will rise to the occasion using the super power of gratitude to focus on all you have and love, rather than solely on what you wish you had. Not easy, but totally worth the effort! Turn on the Turkey Pokey, dance around, laugh, and have the best time celebrating safely with the ones you love.
Counselor Corner slides will not be new this week because of the short week, but check back in after Thanksgiving for new slides. Take care!

Health Protocols
Families have asked what the protocol is when a school has a confirmed case of COVID 19. The district immediately contacts the school nurse and the Snohomish or Island County Health District. The Snohomish Health District has provided the following documents for families.
http://www.snohd.org/DocumentCenter/View/5251/Schools-info-101620?bidId=
http://www.snohd.org/DocumentCenter/View/5278/School-and-COVID-Spanish?bidId=
We also have protocols in place for students/staff who are ill. When students or staff display the following symptoms, they must go or stay home:
Fever/Chills
Lost of taste/smell
Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle Aches/Pains (not attributable to other causes)
Headache (not attributable to other causes)
Congestion/Runny nose (not attributable to other causes)
Cough
Nausea/vomiting
Diarrhea
Sore throat
When students/staff have these symptoms, they must stay home for 10 days or until they have a negative COVID test.
We need to reiterate schools are casualties of increased rates of transmission within the community. We have become aware of students spending time together off-campus, in unmasked social situations. This has the potential to increase transmission rates, thus impacting the district’s ability to bring back more students. We are reminding everyone that it is essential to wear masks, maintain social distancing, avoid indoor in-person gatherings outside of immediate family, and practice good hand hygiene. If a social gathering must occur, these gatherings should be held outside.
