Covid Update - Term1, Week 11

Kia ora koutou,

You’ll be aware that Minister of Education Chris Hipkins has announced the move to Orange at 11:59pm tonight.

The decision to move to Orange has been made on public health advice and reflects that we are moving past the peak of cases and our health system is able to cope. We are seeing that cases are declining due to high levels of vaccination and natural immunity after infection.

Even though we are moving to Orange tonight, we will still require students and staff in Rooms 1 - 3 to wear face masks tomorrow. We will then review our own Covid-19 health and safety requirements over the school holidays and send out a Covid update before Term 2 commences.

You are welcome to come on to the school grounds to drop off/pick up your children tomorrow. All we ask is that you wear a mask.

Thank you for your continued support in ensuring that we are keeping our tamariki and staff as safe as possible.

Ngå mihi nui
