Thinking about orchestra?
Hello Penn Panther Parents!
I had a great time playing and demonstrating the orchestra instruments for Penn 5th graders on Monday and trying them out with the kids these last few days.
I'm writing, now, to remind you about the All-District Orchestra Open-House this coming Tuesday, September 4th (the day after Labor Day): 7:00 p.m. at West HIgh School. (Enter at the left-hand Auditorium doors and head straight back -- we'll be in the large room on your left!)
This is a great opportunity for you and the kids to meet the orchestra teachers (who'll play some fun music, too!), try instruments together, meet other parents (maybe set up carpools?), ask any questions you might have, and get a feel for the program.
While the event is not required for your child to participate in orchestra, we strongly encourage to come if you can! Families of 5th graders (and any interested 6th graders who didn't play last year) are welcome to attend!
Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions (and hope to see you there)!
Sincerely,
Mark Awad
