Last week’s AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Senior Celebration was a great testament to the success of the college prep program. Special thanks to Ms. Heather Dyke, Ms. Angela Cicero, Ms. Darla Tate, and Ms. Amy Komitzky for providing leadership opportunities and college prep instruction through the AVID elective classes.

HONORS ENGINEERING CARDBOARD BOATS

Honors Engineering 1 students recently participated in cardboard boat races at the CHS swimming pool. Groups were given minimal materials (cardboard and duct tape) and were tasked to build a boat that would transport two team members across the pool and back. This is a great culminating project we look forward to all year!
