Principal's Message

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of our school community, students, parents, family/whānau, caregivers, and teachers for their contribution to Stanley Avenue School during Term 2. I always say that people make our school what it is.

Have a well-deserved break and I look forward to seeing everyone back happy and safe after the holidays.

EPRO8 Grand Final

EPR08 Regional Finals in Hamilton

On Wednesday afternoon our 70% Vegan team ventured over to St Paul's in Hamilton to compete in the Waikato Regional EPR08 finals. This was another step up in competition and against other winning teams from around the Waikato region. Our team managed an amazing 9th place. This is such a wonderful achievement and a credit to Gaebrial Gamble, Alexis Broekhals, Rico Smith, and Imogen Clewlow. A lot of hard work and practice goes in behind the scenes and a big thank you must go to Mrs Harrison for her guidance, patience, and support once again.

The team was asked to build a land waka (on wheels) that had a sail that went up and down and could change direction. This was a very challenging task that required a lot of critical thinking and building skills. Well done team. You thoroughly deserved your KFC meal on the way home! We are very proud of you all.

Attendance Certificates

During Assembly on Friday 30th July we will be presenting the Term 2 Attendance Certificates. 100% Certificates will be awarded as well as our 97- 99% Certificates, as this is still considered excellent attendance.
