Saranac High School Counseling News
College Testing Edition
An update on PSAT and PreACT scores! As of now, most PSAT scores are available to students online. In order to access scores, your child will need to create a College Board Account with the email he/she used on his/her PSAT answer sheet. On January 3rd, Mrs. Rosenbaum and Mrs. Sproule will be working with all juniors in the classroom. We will spend most of the class time discussing the importance of junior year, reviewing Career Cruising, learning how to register for college entrance exams, and what to do next in college/career planning.
At this time, we will also hand back PSAT and PreACT score reports to students that took the exams. Although we will not spend time in class reviewing the score reports, students are welcome to bring the reports to the guidance office to go over any questions.
*If you did not take the PSAT but still want to practice for the SAT, please click on the Khan Academy link below the heading "I Did Not Take the PSAT-Now What?"
***When signing up for a spring ACT or SAT, students that meet income eligibility guidelines qualify for 2 fee waivers a year! BUT students must come to the guidance office to get these waivers from either Mrs. Rosenbaum or Mrs. Sproule in the Guidance Office.
