Thanks for attending Open House. We had a great time and enjoyed having so many families in the building.
Our 6th graders spent their CREED time today celebrating our Special Olympics athletes as they prepare for their basketball competition. The kids had a great time and I am so proud of our PALS students and Cheerleaders who led the pep rally. So proud of all our students!
Course selection forms went out to sixth and seventh graders through social studies classes on Feb. 18th. Feb 24th is the deadline to return course selection forms back to social studies teachers. We encourage you to access to Academic Planning Guide for middle school if you have questions. It includes descriptions for each course offered at CMS. Our school counselors are also happy to help with questions. If you couldn't attend the meeting Thursday evening for course selection information, you can hear the presentation HERE.
On Tuesday, February 18, progress reports were posted to HAC for students/parents. Spring Break is coming soon. That also marks the end of the 3rd nine weeks, so please make sure your child is checking their grades and attending tutorials, as needed. We want to finish this quarter strong.
Be sure to check out our basketball season recaps below. Our athletes had a great season! Track and tennis are kicking off now! Good luck to our teams!
UIL season is in full swing in fine arts and academics. I know our students will do great!
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.

Snack Shack
Students LOVE the snack shack, and I love that our PTO is committed to opening it each week. Our SNACK SHACK is always in need of volunteers. It is a fast and fun way to be involved. Thanks for all the support.
Lunch for Students
Due to a variety of safety concerns related to food allergies and campus safety and security, McKinney ISD does not allow students to utilize food delivery services at school. This includes services such as Uber Eats, Doordash and direct restaurant delivery. However, parents/guardians will still be permitted to drop food off for their children.
This rule does not apply to deliveries organized by McKinney ISD faculty or a teacher serving as a sponsor of a student organization. We appreciate your cooperation in our efforts to create a safe and secure environment for students.
Parents may only deliver food for your own child. We can't accept group deliveries.
Want to Volunteer?
If you would like to volunteer at CMS, please complete the Volunteer Background Check. If you have been approved in the past, you have until September to update your application for the new school year. You must complete a new form each year. Please note that if you do not complete the proper paperwork, you cannot help chaperone field trips or help with the school in any way. We need and want your help, so please fill out the forms now.
