PSAT Registration is OPEN for Sophomores & Juniors!

Fall Workshops for Seniors
Friday, September 29th from 11am-12pm: College Essay Writing Workshop presented by Griffin Monahan from Boston University. Learn tips and tricks for writing an essay that will get positive attention from admissions officers.
Monday, October 2nd from 11am-12pm: Understanding the Common Application presented by Jennifer Bento-Pinyoun from MEFA. Learn the ins and outs of the Common App as students begin applying for college. This will be an interactive presentation.
Tuesday, October 3rd from 11am-12pm: Job Corp presented by Chelsea Slates. Learn more about this no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the US Department of Labor that helps young people improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training
Wednesday, October 4 from 11am-12pm: College Essay Critique Workshop will be a time where various college admissions representatives will read your college essay and provide valuable feedback.
Seniors must sign up for any or all of these workshops through their Naviance account.

MEFA Financial Aid Presentation for parents of seniors!
Learn all the ins and outs of applying for financial aid for your college-bound senior with Joe Farragher from the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority on Wednesday, October 18 from 8-9am in the library at Tahanto Regional Middle/High School.
This event is free and open to parents of seniors.

The STAR Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Rensselaer invites academically talented seniors, who are underrepresented minorities or young women, to apply for the STAR (Science, Technology, Arts at Rensselaer) Program. The STAR Program allows high school seniors to experience life as a Rensselaer student. They will attend classes, tour campus, visit our laboratories, and connect with current Rensselaer students, faculty, and staff.
Students may apply online by September 20, 2017 to participate in the STAR Program.
