Friday Notes

January 3, 2020 HaPpY NeW YeAr!

Reminder: For safety's sake

Please remember all families are to enter the school through the Main Doors (by the school office) for morning drop off and 3:00 pick up. Once inside the school, you are free to exit through through the new Manosh Pre-K/ASP door if you so choose. Those retrieving from ASP will continue to do so through the designated ASP door.

This measure is taken for the safety and security of everyone at BJAMS, and we appreciate your continued understanding and full cooperation.

Uniform Swap

The PTO is setting up a Uniform Swap in the lobby starting Monday, Jan 6 through Wednesday, Jan 8.

All are welcome to pick out any items you may need for your student(s). If you would like to drop off items, please be sure they are freshly laundered and reasonably free from staining and excessive wear.

* No uniform drops can be accepted after Wednesday *

Cross Country Skiing - grades 6-8

Grades 6-8 will begin cross-country skiing on Friday afternoons., starting January 10. Barry Lyden and Coach Bu have been working hard grooming trails and sizing students. Please be sure your student has appropriate outdoor gear to participate (ski pants, warm coat, hat, mittens). We will hold cross-country skiing on Friday afternoons now through March. If your child has his/her own cross-country skis, he/she is welcome to bring them! If not, the school will provide them.

Ski & Ride Program Update

The program will start Sunday, January 12. Here is a little information before we begin next week. Please pick up your pass before the program starts. You may pick it up on Sunday, but please allow extra time for this.

We will all meet between the Sunny Spruce and Meadows quad chair lifts on the Spruce side, just outside the base lodge. All groups will be off skiing by 1:00.

At 4:00 you can meet up with your child and the coach inside the base lodge.

Student and coach passes are valid all Sundays of the program: Jan 12, 26; Feb 2, 9, 23; March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. The student passes are also valid on the days we do not have school: Jan 20; Feb 24-28 (vacation); Mar 12, 27, 30; Apr 10, 13-17 (vacation) plus any snow days!

Winter Wear Reminder

All students are expected to participate in outdoor activities, including recess, so please remember to outfit your student appropriately each day for winter weather: jacket, snow pants, hat, gloves/mittens, and boots.
