Madison students grade K-5 can keep track of exercise on the fitness logs that were sent home on Fri., Feb. 13. Starting Mon., Feb. 16, initial each circle/box on the fitness log for every 30 minutes you exercise. After you have finished the fitness path, turn in your completed log to your teacher by April 13. You will get your FREE Raging Waves weekday pass from your teacher before the end of May. It’s simple and fun! Extra fitness logs are available in the front office or contact Sybil Scaccia at sscaccia@comcast.net.
Run the NEW200 5K on Apr. 25
Dust off your running shoes, and mark your calendar for the NEW200 Foundation 5K on Apr. 25. We'll have more information in upcoming editions of Madison Memos.
Kindergarten Roundup is coming!
If you have a child who will be five on or before Sept. 1, 2015, we will be hosting a Parent Meeting on Mon., March 2 at 7:00 p.m. Pre-registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. This “parent only” event is a great way to become acquainted with kindergarten at Madison Elementary, meet the staff members, and have your questions answered. Please pass this information to any friends or neighbors with a potential kindergartener. Please call the school office at 630-682-2095 to add your child’s name to our kindergarten list.
Thank you Valentine party planners
Thank you to all the party planners and volunteers that helped make our Valentine parties a success! If you haven't already done so, please return the party folders to the box marked "Room Party Folders" under the PTA mailboxes as soon as possible. A special thank you to the grade level Party Food Coordinators that helped with our new Food Policy Guidelines: Melisa Oker, Dawn Draus, Marianne Kratz, Jody Gosain, Michele Triscik, and Amy Schmidt. Your dedication and hard work with getting food approved, purchased, and delivered to each class was greatly appreciated.

Multicultural Day help needed
Yes… we're already looking ahead to next fall! So many volunteers have already said "yes" for next school year's Multicultural Day, but we need a couple of people who are willing to put it all together. If you'd like to make a huge difference in the lives of Madison students, please contact Julie Ippolito, julieippolito3@yahoo.com, or Janet Mathis, janetmarkmathis@yahoo.com.
Parents and staff: join Madison PTA Facebook group
With 170 members and growing, Madison PTA Wheaton, IL Facebook group has become a good way to share information about Madison PTA happenings. Any Madison parent/guardian or staff member may join the closed group. You'll find fun pictures, reminders and news. Madison Memos continues to be Madison PTA's main source for information, as it reaches all parents and staff.
