The Cedar Ridge Weekly
September 7, 2020
Message from Dr. Ramirez
I hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. The Ramirez family spent time collecting peaches and making jam. We couldn't have picked a better weekend. I hope you enjoyed the three day weekend.
We are approaching our fourth week of instruction and, as expected, we are moving to a new teaching and learning normal.
Our teachers are working hard to cover all the learning standards for each course. Despite having less face-to-face instruction than we did during our normal year, teachers are covering all the necessary standards and students are expected to use the school schedule to complete all of their work. Students are expected to use the following times to complete work during the school day:
Monday - Thursday:
8:45- 9:30: Study Hall
11:45- 1:00: Lunch Time is 30 minutes and Study Hall is 45 minutes
2:15- 3:00: On days there is no Ridge Time or club meetings.
Fridays:
8:45- 12:00: If asynchronous assignments are completed.
1:00 - 4:00: Study Hall.
Please let your student's counselors know if your student is receiving too much work or homework. We are working hard to ensure our students have work/life balance.
I hope you all have a great week.
Dr. Ramirez
