To All Cool Women,

Thank you for attending our 4th Annual "Cool Women/Hot Jobs" Career Day, and for sharing your personal and professional journeys with our students. Your passion, your encouragement, and the wisdom that you shared with our students has left an imprint on their hearts. The girls were truly inspired to meet so many accomplished women! You have helped to show them the infinite career possibilities that await them.

Please take 2 minutes to fill out this Speaker Evaluation Form to help us better prepare for next year's event. We appreciate your feedback!

Many of you expressed an interest in learning more about the school and how you can get involved. YWCP relies on a large group of committed volunteers to provide support and opportunities to the students to enhance their learning experience. Here are some of the ongoing volunteer opportunities available:

Girls' Leadership Conference - Brag Party:

On Friday, April 22nd, the YWCP Foundation will host a conference for girls in grades 9-12 designed to develop the leadership potential within each attendee. Students from schools all across the region will participate in a series of interactive workshops led by girls, for girls! This year's event will feature a 3-hour "Brag Party" led by Peggy Klaus, professional trainer in Excellence in Leadership and Communication and author of Bragging: The Art of Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing It (Warner Business Books, 2003). The Brag Party will assist students in identifying their own personal attributes, skills, and aspirations. As many as 40 volunteers are needed from 9:30am-Noon to assist with the Brag Party.

Join A Committee:

The YWCP Foundation Board of Trustees welcomes volunteers on many of our advisory committees, including Development, Marketing, and Special Events. No previous experience is necessary.

Host a Fundraiser:

Coordinate with friends, family members, or co-workers to host a fundraiser to benefit YWCP. Yoga classes, car washes, bake sales, book drives, concerts, and more - the possibilities are endless!

To sign up or get more information about any of these volunteer opportunities, please contact the Foundation office by email or phone at (585) 254-0320 x1114.

About YWCP

YWCP Charter School is Rochester's only all-girls public school. It opened its doors in August 2012 to its first class of students, and will grow over the next few years to serve 450 students in grades 7-12. YWCP is an affiliate of the Young Women's Leadership Network, which supports five highly successful single-gender schools in NYC and 11 affiliates across the country.

The mission of the YWCP Foundation is to break the cycle of poverty for young urban girls by increasing their economic self-sufficiency through improved leadership skills, career awareness, college readiness, and college access. To accomplish this, YWCP Inc. creates, implements, and supports innovative programs that educate the whole girl - academically, socially, and emotionally.
