Paraprofessional Appreciation Day honors paraprofessional educators. Annual Reviews
We have seen excellent levels of participation from parents when offering a virtual option to meetings. We plan on continuing with this option. Families have the option to attend the annual review in person or virtually. Please let your child's case manager know your preference when you receive notice of your child's meeting.

Invitation to join the Florence Township Special Education Parent Advisory Group
We invite you to join the Florence Township Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG). SEPAG provides parents with the opportunity to give input and advice to the school district regarding matters pertaining to students with disabilities. Ideally, we are looking for participants to consist of parents of students with an IEP (one from each school) and a parent of a student served in an out-of-district school. Special Education staff will also be included. The SEPAG will be focused conversations and collaboration.
The main aims of the SEPAG are:
❖ To provide input on polices, programs and practices that impact services and supports for students with disabilities
❖ To give input that will improve positive outcomes for students with special needs
❖ To provide feedback on key issues that are specific to the special education department
What we would like from you as a member of the SEPAG:
❖ A willingness to collaborate with school administrators
❖ A willingness to attend four SEPAG meetings during the school year
❖ A desire to continue to improve special education services in a positive forum
❖ The ability to focus on “big picture” (systemic) issues
If you would like to be considered as a participant on the Special Education Parent Advisory Group, please complete the below survey.
As always, thank you for your support.
Thank you

The NJ Alliance of Family Support Organizations has a lot of resources geared toward supporting individuals with mental health throughout NJ. Every county has a Family Support Organization that is a families helping families model. The site provides links to several other mental health organizations in New Jersey as well.
MentalHealthFirstAid.org provides training throughout the United States that is available to anyone interested in the training. I believe it is funded through the Mental Health Association of New Jersey for our state. There are several virtual and in person training options for April.
