BARBER BULLETIN
Week of March 4-8 Creating Joyful Leaders and Learners
Student Engagement Survey required by state: Please read if you are a teacher in Grades 3-5
Thursday, March 7th, students will take the Student Engagement Survey. As Audrey Brady shared when she visited, this survey has a substantial effect on the results of our report card. To that end, we feel that it's essential for students to synergize and review all that they've done this year, prior to taking the survey.
Similarly to last year, each grade level will come together and do a "Gallery Walk".
3rd Grade: Extra PE Room
4th Grade: Gym
5th Grade: Cafeteria
The activity will take approximately 30 minutes. Each student should bring a marker with them to the gallery walk. When students come in, they should have a seat and wait for instructions. An administrator will be in each location to facilitate the activity. When finished, you will return to your classrooms to take the survey.
Please arrive at your designated location at 8:30. 5th grade and UM, you will switch global times with first grade that day (1:00-1:40).
Thank you for your energy and assistance during this Gallery Walk. Scripts and detailed instructions will be provided to you for the survey that students are asked to complete.
Retirement Planning
Julia Parks, a Certified Financial Planner with AXA, a worldwide leader in financial service and world’s 20th largest company, will be joining us to discuss your 403(b) retirement benefit plan through the school district, as well as provide you the related information regarding savings strategy and retirement planning, on Tuesday March 5th, 8am-3pm
This is certainly optional but we always wish to share opportunities like this for you for those that wish to take advantage of the services.
HAT DAY for St. Judes
Get your hats ready!
On Thursday, March 7 Primary Montessori is hosting a hat day in honor of a Primary Montessori student who is undergoing chemotherapy. It will cost students and staff $1 to wear a hat during the school day. The proceeds from this hat day will go to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which treats the toughest childhood and pediatric cancer.

A Primary Montessori student will be around to collect the money on Thursday. Thank you for contributing to this worthwhile cause.
