Youngsville Classical Conversations
Weekly Update
Hello April!
Wow. Four more Mondays left of CC. Our time together this year is quickly coming to a close. If you haven't already, go ahead and get in your Registration forms and fees for the 2016-2017 school year. You can print the forms from the CC website www.classicalconversations.com or go to our Youngsville CC facebook group and I have posted the pdf file there. Remember each fee needs it's own individual check. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Donna Walker and I will be hosting a informational meeting at Oak Grove Baptist church at 7pm THIS Thursday April 7th. If you know anyone interested in learning more about the classical model and classical conversations please invite them! I just ask that they send me a email at youngsvillecc@gmail.com to let me know they are thinking about coming. It helps to know how many to plan for. Maybe you have never been to a info meeting to heard the Classical model explained. Maybe you haven't heard about the programs that come after Foundations. It's important for us all to know and understand the vision of CC and why we do what we do.
Another way to hear and understand the vision is to attend a CC Parent Practicum. To find what Practicums are going on in our area and when...Go to the "events" tab on the CC website. Be sure to filter so only our area shows up on the calendar. Practicum is FREE for you! If you wish to bring your kids they have daycare for little ones and learning camps for age 5 and up. There is a fee to register your kids into daycare/learning camp.

SCIENCE & FINE ARTS
Week 21 science project: I'm excited for us to start Mineral identification!
Week 21 Fine Arts: We will continue to learn different vocabulary that goes along with our Orchestra study. The composer we will focus on is Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier.
Registration for 2016-2017 is upon us!!
· Currently enrolled families (that's you) at a community may register at that community beginning February 1st.
· Transfers from one community to another may begin February 15th. *This means that a currently enrolled family could lose their spot for next year to a transferring family if they do not get their forms and fees to the director by February 14th*
· New families may register March 1st.
FYI: Our community will have open house just about every other week from now until week 24 so that families that are interested in CC can come in (by appointment) to observe how CC works. I have invited those that are interested in coming to an open house to stay on through lunch with us so that they can ask questions. Who better to ask than those of us already involved with CC, right?!
