FCPS1 Nurse and Athletic Trainer Appreciation Day
Today (February 11th), we celebrated our School Nurse, Ms. Lorita Brown, and our Athletic Trainers, Ms. Reylin Morgan and Ms. Natalie Campbell. These ladies have gone above and beyond throughout the entirety of the pandemic, caring for the health and well-being of the KR school community.

Upcoming Community Outreach & Events
February 16th
- Civil Rights Round Table: we will welcome back a panel of current and retired FCPS educators to discuss key events in the Civil Rights Era. This authentic learning experience will cover national events and generate discussion concerning their impact on Fauquier County. Civil Rights are discussed in U.S. History and our audience will be comprised of our Junior class and several small groups from Liberty and Fauquier High Schools
- Black Business and Prominent Community Member Fair - 9-11am
- Voice of Fauquier at FHS
Reminders
Food Deliveries:
- Students are not allowed to order food (from outside vendors, restaurants, DoorDash, etc.) during the school day
Student Parking:
- We are still selling student parking spots
- The price is prorated at $50 dollars for the remainder of the year
- If you have an assigned space, park in it. If snow is blocking your spot, please park in the very back row of the lot until your space is cleared
After Prom
Join the February After Prom Meeting on Tuesday, February 15th from 7-8pm in the KRHS Library
- The After Prom Committee needs help! This is not a school funded event, so we rely on parent and community donations to ensure a safe, fun environment for our children to celebrate when Prom concludes

Cougar Counseling
- Please visit the KR School Counseling website for the latest Counseling information
- Mountain Vista Governor’s School (MVGS) is a regional program for academically talented and highly motivated 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students
- Science, mathematics, humanities, and research courses are uniquely integrated to provide a college-level, project-based learning environment
- Prospective students and parents - If you missed the Zoom meeting, it was recorded.
- Applications for admission to MVGS are now available in the school counseling office at the base high schools or on the school division website.
- Completed applications are due in the student’s school counseling office no later than March 4th.
