We had a trying, yet good week. We were dealing with some drilling, jack hammers and other fun noises off and on. The class handled as well as we could. Please, please, please send in their head phones. If we are in that situation again it helps to be able to put on head phones and work on the laptops. Also, at the beginning of each month we take Istation tests and the head phones help to eliminate distractions and allow them to focus. Thank you for your help in this.
We loved having Abby's dad as our WATCHDOG. We put him to work both in the classroom and on the playground. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to spend with us.
I am happy to offer end of year conferences to anyone that would like to meet. Just shoot me an email and we will schedule a time.
This week is Starfest! Hope you have checked out the online auction and are making your plans to come. It is always a fun time and a great money maker for our PTA.
Hope you have a fabulous rest of your weekend.

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
LANGAUGE ARTS-We are still working on poetry. This week they wrote an acrostic, a list poem, a 5 senses poem and a shape poem. We have also been looking at commas and their use in different situations. Spelling test this Friday.
SCIENCE-We completed our plant unit and our now looking at animals. We are focusing on their adaptations that have helped them meet their physical needs.
