The UGA Career Center’s Intern For A Day Program is a volunteer "job shadowing" opportunity for students to spend 1 day observing and often working with professionals, investigating a career field and experiencing a typical day on the job.

Meredith Corporation 2019 Fellowship
The Meredith Fellowship Program offers recent college graduates the opportunity to gain experience working with some of our most popular brands, including Southern Living, Food & Wine, and the Meredith Food Studios. The program runs from June 2019 to May 2020 and is our primary source of hiring for entry-level roles.
We're looking for 2019 graduates who want to start their careers on our beautiful Birmingham campus. If you’re a media-obsessed, enthusiastic self-starter, we want to hear from you!
Fellows work full time and earn $12 an hour. Positions are available in marketing, print and digital content, copy editing, graphic design, photography, food styling, prop styling, video, and the test kitchens.
Goldman Sachs 2019 Summer Analyst Insight Days
The Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs will be hosting our 2019 Summer Analyst Insight Days in three of our regional offices this spring, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Houston. These programs are intended for current sophomores who are interested in learning more about summer 2020 internships in investment banking in these locations: Los Angeles – April 5, Houston – April 12, San Francisco – April 26.
The application deadline for the Los Angeles Insight Day is March 17. Application deadlines for Houston and San Francisco are on March 31.

Arch Ready: Grady Career Day Prep

In this workshop, you will learn how to:
(1) Identify resources to conduct employer research prior to attending the Journalism and Mass Communication Career Day
(2) Develop and demonstrate a 20-30 second introduction/elevator pitch
(3) Identify appropriate business professional attire to wear to career fairs

Grad Workshop: Tips for Before, During, and After the Interview
Date: Wednesday, February 6
Time: 3:30pm

Congrats on getting to the interview stage of the process! Now what? This workshop covers what to consider before, during, and after the interview to boost your confidence and demonstrate to an employer, you’re a great candidate. Time will be spent on preparing for different styles of interviewing (in-person, phone, and Skype/webinar), learning about the different categories of questions employers ask, and making a good impression from start to finish.

Science Exploration Workshop

As an undergraduate student, there are a variety of career opportunities that can make it difficult to determine your next steps. This interactive, small-group workshop will provide you with a tangible list of career options, resources for career research, factors to consider when choosing a career, and explore next steps to take in your career search. Bring a laptop for the best experience! Workshops are limited to 25 students; must register in advance on Handshake to attend.
Arch Ready Express Workshop: How to Network
Date: Thursday, February 7
Time: 2:30pm and 3:00pm
Location: Career Center Multipurpose Room, Clark Howell Hall
This 30-minute express workshop will cover the top five networking strategies in 15 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes for questions. Networking is a great way to find out about opportunities that you never knew were available, so let us help you get started! Feel free to come with any specific questions you have about how to begin or how to expand your network. If you're in need of some quick networking tips in between classes, this workshop is for you!

Grad Workshop: The Industry Job Search: Virtual Career Panel for Graduate Students

This workshop will feature firsthand accounts from professionals in fields where graduate student talent is vital to the success of the organization. Including representatives from companies such as Bayer and Radiant Solutions, our guests will discuss their own career path, the types of opportunities which are commonly available for graduate-level candidates, the hiring process, and any tips which may be helpful along the way.
Please note that space is limited, and registration for this digital event is required. Attendees do not need a working microphone or webcam in order to participate.
