# Math Matters Week 13

## A Note from Mrs. Anderson...

Starting this Friday, November 13, I will be out for surgery until December 7. Mrs. Joanne Turner will be my guest teacher for this entire time. Please talk to your child about being courteous, attentive, and obedient to her so that this will be a good and productive time for all our students and classmates, as well as for our guest teacher. When I return we will doing unit tests and then start preparing for the semester exams. Mrs. Turner is an experienced and qualified teacher and has been at Schimelpfenig many times. We are very grateful she has agreed to come and help us.

## Math 7 Information

The kids will be reviewing graphing numbers on a number line and also graphing inequalities. Students will complete a review and go over the review with questions being answered prior to the quiz.

Our next material covers multiple representations, using two step equations, solving complicated equations, negative solutions, rate of change, and using multiple representations.

Reminder: Kids can attend Ms. Koestler's tutoring and Ms. Burnett's tutoring while Mrs. Anderson is away!

## Math Rocks 7 Information

Wow...The kids did a great job on their GLO time with the scavenger hunt. The groups all had fun and did good. Mr. Myatt and other stuff members even jumped in on the fun! Thanks!

We will have a Solving Systems of Linear Functions Quiz this Friday. We will review on Thursday!

## Math Honors 7 Information

Students will take their Unit Test on Functions Tuesday. Our next unit focuses on the fun topic of probability. We will be defining and representing probability, focusing on determining experimental and theoretical probability, simulating probability models, and determining compound probability events.

We encourage the students to start practicing probability at home...What is the likelihood of this? How probable is it? Etc.

Reminder: Since Mrs. Anderson is out...Ms. Burnett has tutoring!
