DESCRIPTION OF GRASSLAND
Grasslands are located in parts of North and South America, Australia, Central Asia and Europe. This biome has a rich mix of grasses and it is considered one of the world's most fertile soils. The annual precipitation of this biome is between 10 to 20 inches. During the winter time, snow serves as moisture for the growing season in the spring. This time of the year, spring season would be the best time recommended to visit is because it is the most attractive and active season of the year!

Hawk
Some facts about hawks is that they have excellent hearing, curved beaks, and the best eyesight of any animal. In fact, it's estimated that hawsk have the ability locate a rabbit from a distance of two miles.
Mule Deer
The mule deer is easy to identify because of it's large mule-like ears. Mule deers are brownish-gray in color, have a white rump patch and a small white tail with a black tip. They're mostly active at night and early morning hours.
Rabbit
The body of a rabbit is flattened and long with elongated hind legs. A rabbits has long sensitive ears that can be turned in any direction. The fur is thick, and often long and very soft and their feet are fully furred. They live in groups, in underground burrows.

In the winter, grassland temperatures can be as low as -40° F, and in the summer it can be as high 70° F. There are two real seasons: a growing season and a dormant season. The growing season is when there is no frost and plants can grow (which lasts from 100 to 175 days). During the dormant (not growing) season nothing can grow because its too cold.
Also, some of the most common types of plant life include the sunflower, crazy Weed, coneflowers, goldenrods, and wild indigos.
