Welcome!
What a Wonderful First Week!
Thank you so much for sharing your students with us! We had a great first week and we are looking forward to a year of success and learning!
Please talk with your students about what the expectations are at school and what they are learning about being a successful student. You are the most important influence in your child's life and we appreciate your support!
Know that you are always welcome to reach out with any questions or concerns you have. We want all Probstfield Elementary students to experience success!
If you have any questions or need support, please reach out to our front desk at 218-284-3700.
All the best-
The team at Probstfield Elementary School
IMPORTANT!!! We NEED Your Help!!!
We also ask that you complete Powerschool Enrollment as soon as possible. You should have received an email from the district asking you to complete it in August. You may want to check your spam folder. You can also access it by going into the Powerschool Parent app. Having this completed is very important because we need updated information so we can stay in communication with you in case of any needs or emergencies that may arise.
Thank you so much for taking care of these two things! It really helps out our whole school community!

Probstfield Elementary School Contact Information
My name is Principal Smith and I am looking forward to partnering with you to help your children succeed!
This is my 19th year in the district- I started out teaching 7th grade language arts at Horizon for seven years. I moved to Ellen Hopkins where I taught 4th grade for two years. Next I was an assistant principal for one year at SG Reinertsen and then was principal there for two years. My next adventure was opening Horizon West with an incredible team! I got to know so many families in the district. After three years there, I ended up shifting into opening and leading our online academies for the last two years. I am SO looking forward to working as a team with you and your students!
My career in education has been full of fun, learning, and joy! I love getting to know students and families and I love living in this community! I have two kids who go to Moorhead Schools- a senior and a 7th grader. In my free time, I enjoy creating art, reading, and sitting on my deck watching the birds.
Please say hello when you are here for back to school conferences and reach out any time if I can assist you in any way!
Here's to a fabulous school year!
