Attention Parents- From Mr. Bush
NWEL Parents-
I want to take a quick minute to briefly review our morning arrival procedures for students being dropped off by parents. There are two options for dropping off students in the morning. First option- dropping off along the main sidewalk in the right side lane. Second option- parking in the parking lot and walking your student to the crosswalk. Both of those options are safe for students. If students are dropped off in the parking lot and walking to the crosswalk by themselves, this is not a safe option. Dropping students off in the left hand lane of the drive and walking across traffic is also not safe. We must hold student safety as the priority over convenience. Please work with us to make this a safe and effective morning routine. As always, we appreciate your patience and cooperation. Thank you for the time you took to read this email and I look forward to great mornings ahead!

Northwest Kidder Middle School Named Jostens 2022 National Yearbook
Program of Excellence
-------------------------------------------------------
Northwest Kidder Middle School yearbook program is recognized for dynamic and engaging yearbook.
Jostens, the leading producer of yearbooks and student-created content, today announced that Kidder Middle School’s yearbook program has achieved the Jostens 2022 National Yearbook Program of Excellence award at the Silver Level. The National Yearbook Program of Excellence recognizes engaging yearbooks that reflect a broad representation of the student body while helping students develop 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, and information and communication technologies (ICT) literacy.
The KMS award-winning yearbook program is led by yearbook staff members (students) under the direction of Heather Caster, KMS yearbook adviser.
“I couldn’t be more proud of my students’ work on making the yearbook program successful and creating a memorable yearbook for their peers. They worked hard to increase our sales from 2020-21 and met all of our deadlines.”
Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence Awards are presented twice a year, in spring and in fall based on the yearbook’s arrival date at the school. The award was presented to the Kidder Middle School’s yearbook program for achieving defined criteria in between one and three of the following categories: creating an inclusive yearbook, generating school engagement, and successfully managing the yearbook creation process.
“Jostens is proud to recognize those individuals who have created an exceptional yearbook for their school and community,” said Tammy Whitaker, Jostens VP, and COO Yearbook Division. “These schools did an exceptional job on multiple levels, despite the challenges presented by this school year. Yearbooks are a critical part of capturing and telling a school’s story, and Jostens is dedicated to supporting yearbook staff members as they do their important work.”
