KM's Newsletter
Semester 1
A message from Miss Marjanac
Welcome to KM's first newsletter.
Wow, we are already at the end of Semester 1 and half way through the year! It has been a pleasure to meet and teach such a beautiful and diverse group of inquisitive learners. KM have been very busy this semester with lots of learning happening and exciting events outside of the classroom. They have settled well into school routines and have been busy working hard in all areas. I am so proud of what all students have achieved thus far in KM. Keep up the great work!
None of this would be possible without the parents and I would like to thank all parents for their continuous support and commitment to their child's learning.
I have had the pleasure of watching each student in KM grow from the first day of Kindergarten till now and I look forward to watching this continuous growth of all students in semester 2.

Literacy in KM
In Literacy, students have been busy learning new skills to read and write and engage in fun activities during L3 rotations, as well as, collaborating with other students during these activities. Students have become more confident with their writing using their sight word knowledge and relatable experiences to construct simple sentences.
Numeracy in KM
During Numeracy, students are engaged in hands-on activities that allow them to count forwards and backwards and make numbers using different combinations. They have also been learning about 2D shapes, data, time, length and area.

Coding In KM
KM has been very busy this term with new learning happening. They have been involved in 'unplugged coding', learning new computational skills and language and applying it in a practical way. I am very proud of how KM has applied their knowledge in this area.
Kindergarten Farm Excursion
On Wednesday 29th May, 2019 all of Kindergarten excitedly got onto the bus and were off on their first school excursion to Calmsley Farm. KM had a great time at the farm and got to milk a cow, watch a dog and sheep show, have a ride on a tractor and see different animals.
