We will have parent teacher conferences on March 14th and 16th. Please try and be as prompt as possible, as we only have 15 minutes to share. We hope to have 100% participation! Some of the activities we will be doing over the next two weeks...

*Discussing what doctors, construction workers, and baker/chefs do in our community (Social Studies)

* Create identification cards and make fingerprints (Safety lesson)

*Practicing counting in a group with items a mailman would use (Growing with Math)

*Putting together a puzzle with various community helpers identified (Social & Cognitive)

*”What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up?” journal page (Language)

*Creating a medical kit and talk about the role of a doctor (Social Studies)

*Interacting with Community Helper puppets (Social)

*Using Mat Man to talk about the different parts of our body (Handwriting without Tears)

*Practicing the letters “Mm” and numbers 0-5 (Handwriting without Tears)

*Demonstrate how to calm down in response to scenarios and learning how to name our feelings in response to scenarios (Social Skills)

*Our nursery rhymes for the week are, “Rain, Rain Go Away” and “Betty Botter” (Communication Arts)

St. Patrick's Day Celebration

March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day and Mrs. Collier’s class will be celebrating! Wear your green clothes and any other St. Patrick’s themed accessories! We will be looking for gold, drinking green kool-aid, sharing shamrock cupcakes and cookies, and celebrating in Irish style! We will be putting tattoos on the children, so please let me know if you would prefer that they don’t put tattoos on their face, arms, or hands.

Fun for Fives

6:30-7:30 PM

An hour of fun activities for parents and children geared to them become acquainted with their elementary school. This is for children who will be 5 years of age before August 1, 2016. Children should attend where they will be attending Kindergarten.
