⭐SOME NEW FACES AT GTE⭐

christy pierce

My name is Christy Pierce and I am the 6th grade science teacher. This is my first year at Green Tree Elementary, however I have been teaching for 19 years in other neighboring districts. Most of my years have been teaching 5th grade science so I am very excited to be here in 6th grade. When I am not at school you will find me spending lots of time with my family. I have been married for 18 years and have 2 daughters; Kylie who is 8 and in 3rd grade, and Brooklyn who is 3 and goes to daycare. We love spending time outside and visiting many different places around St. Charles and St. Louis. Some things about me are I love shopping, my favorite food is pizza and I LOVE Disney! We are planning a trip to take our girls very soon! I'm very excited to be a gator and be a part of the Magnolia house! Thank you for the warm welcome this school year!

I got married this past year and have two adorable fur babies that are kitties. I have worked with kiddos in special education for the last 4 years at the middle school level but elementary level during summer school for 3 years. I just got my masters in administration and hope to become a principal someday and lead the staff and students into success. I love working with students and being a teacher is my passion. I am super excited for a new school, staff and kiddos to work with.

Morgan Keener

This is my 10th year in education and my first year as a special education teacher. I have an almost three year old and a one year old. When I am not at school I love to spend time with friends and family and I love to bake!

PTO SPOTLIGHT

Monique serves on the PTO board as Hospitality Coordinator. She and her family relocated to Lake St. Louis in 2020 and have truly enjoyed being amongst the Green Tree Elementary family. Professionally, Monique is the Director of Engagement and Social Impact for Cosmos Corporation. She oversees corporate social responsibility efforts, employee engagement, and community outreach. Outside of volunteering at GTE, Monique is a member of Junior League of St. Louis, Director of the UMSL DEI Accelerator program, and a member of the Associates for the St. Louis Sports Commission. She loves all things family as her and husband Mike have a blended family of eight. Monique is also a fan of sports (Go Chiefs, although they seem to be falling apart this season), traveling, and crocheting, and hosting fun gatherings. In addition, Monique is a fierce proponent for disability inclusion and advocacy.
