North Glendale Family Update
Summer Edition #2: July 5, 2020
Good morning!
I hope this finds you and yours well!
This past week you received a letter from our outgoing PTO Presidents, Lydia Gwin and Kelli Ivy. I wanted to offer my sincere thanks for the work they have done during their term and also for their support during my transition. I look forward to working with our incoming PTO President's Lisa Niemann and Colleen Wolff and the rest of the board as we navigate 2020-2021.
A reminder that the PTO is for everyone..if you are a North Glendale adult...you are a member! PTO functions and meetings are great ways to meet other families, keep updated on PTO supports or maybe find your niche for possibly volunteering. Our events and meetings might have to look different this year due to Covid, but the spirit of community and supporting our teachers and kids, is constant.
Speaking of next year...I know that our re-entry to 2020-2021 is on everyone's minds. Dr. Ulrich, Superintendent, shared the guiding principles for our planning as well as survey results from families, staff and kids. All of the info can be found in the most recent KSD Spotlight.
Please reach out if I can be of service.

Track Re-Openings
In following St. Louis County’s First Phase of Reopening, KSD is slowly reintegrating the student body and public to school’s outdoor facilities beginning with the high school and middle school tracks. Temporary restrictions to playgrounds are still enforced pursuant to the St. Louis County because they are high touch areas.

Resources for Parenting During Covid
We as adults have worries and anxiety, and years of experiences to help us cope. Our little ones have no frame of reference for what is going on and for what will continue to be our reality at least for a while.
- How ToTalk to Your Kids About COVID-19 (I like this one because it has a section on how to help your kids cope)

If you need any assistance, please reach out to Mr. Leonard or myself.
