The Types Of Government
There are Seven types of governmets or government systems.
Dictatorship/Totalitarianism - A type of government system where a single ruler or party has control; usually uses military force to enforce power. {Unitary form of power distrubution and autocratic form of citizen participation.}Currently Iraq, Zimbabwe, Republic of Congo, Kazakhstan, Equatorial Guinea, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Libya, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and the Peoples Republic of China are all under dictatorships.
Parliamentary Democracy - A government system where Parliament is the legislature and the leader of the government is the Prime Minister who is selected by the majority party in the Parliament.{Federal form of power distribution and Democratic form of citizen participation...may very} United Kingdom, Sweden and Japan,Ireland, Germany, Pakistan, India and Italy all live under a Parliamentary Democracy.
Presidental Democracy - A government system where Congress is the legislature and the leader of the government is the President who is voted into office or power directly by the people. {Federal form of power distribution and Democratic form of citizen participation} Brazil, England and the United States Of America all live under a Presidental Democracy.
Theocracy - A government in whic God is seen as the true leader of the government and the country's religious leaders serve as political leaders. {Unitary form of power distrubution and autocratic form of citizen participation.} Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the Vatican have a Theocracy.
Absolute Monarchy - A type of government system where the hereditary ruler is the king or queen, who has a "divine right"(God given right) to rule the government and has total contol/power.{Unitary form of power distrubution and autocratic form of citizen participation.} Bahrain, Brunei, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Swaziland, the emirates comprising the UAE and Vatican City all live under this government.
Constituional Monarchy - A type of government system where the ruler is a king or queen and serves as the "figure head" of the government. Powers and abilities to rule are limited by the constitution.{Unitary form of power distrubution and autocratic form of citizen participation.} United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Spain, Luxembourg, Monaco, Liechtenstein, and Sweden all live under a Constitutional Monarchy.
Republic - A type of government system in which the supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president. [Federal form of power distribution and democratic form of citizen participation.] {Countries that live under a republic government.}

Types of Power Distrubution
Unitary - This is a government system in which the central government has all of the power.
Confederation - Local governments hold all of the power and the central government depends on the local governments for existence.
Federal - Political system in which power is shared equally among different levels of government

Types of Citizen Participation
Autocratic/Autocracy - A government where the ruler has absolute power to do whatever he or she wishes and makes/enforces whatever laws chosen,{Government by One}
Oligarchic/Oligarchy - A government system where a political party or other small group rule and control.{Government by a few}
Democratic/Democracy - A government system where people play a much greater role in deciding who rules and what decisions are made.{Government by all.}
