Our First Week
KIDS ARE SPECIAL PEOPLE!
Parent Pick Up Info
*3 year olds are dismissed at 2:30.
*If your teacher has provided a sign for parent pick up, please put it in your front window. It helps us know what student you need.
*You must sign your student out with your teacher. If someone new is picking your student up, please tell them to have their ID ready. We will not release students to anyone we do not know without checking IDs.
*Please do not get out of your vehicle. If you need to strap your child in, pull up by the gate or out to the side on the street.
Things to Remember
* Please send an extra set of clothes for us to keep at school in case of accidents.(Thanks to those who have)
*Please do not send anything that is so important that you don't want it lost. Mrs. Silva and I try our best to keep things/items straight with what belongs to whom but we have 13 very young three year olds who each need lots of attention and sometimes we get sidetracked. It is probably best to keep important, treasured items at home.
*You might want to consider writing your child's name inside jackets and masks.
*Remember no toys should come to school. We have plenty in our classroom.
*. Please check your child's backpack every night. Sometimes there are important forms that need to be signed and returned. Sometimes there are important notices (such as Picture Day) that you won't want to miss.
*If you do not want your child's photo used in this weekly newletter or posted on my classroom website, please text me on Remind, or email me.
*Mrs. Silva and I love your kids! Our days are very busy but we love teaching little folks!
Things to Work on at home:
*Colors (ask your child to find things of a certain color when you are at home or out and about)
*Shapes (look for shapes everywhere)
*Counting 1-10
*Count sets of objects (up to 10)
*READ, READ, READ BOOKS! READ BOOKS AND TALK ABOUT THEM. ASK YOUR CHILD QUESTIONS ABOUT THE STORY AND WHAT THEY THINK MIGHT HAPPEN NEXT. ASK THEM TO SEQUENCE THE STORY AFTER YOU'VE READ IT OR WHY THEY THINK SOMETHING HAPPENED OR SOMEBODY DID SOMETHING. YOU CAN NEVER READ TOO MUCH TO YOUR CHILDREN!
