WRMS Weekly Update
May 10, 2019
NJSLA Testing
It is important that students get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and give their best effort. Standardized tests are different in their question style and testing environment, so it's important that students get great practice as they move on to higher-stakes versions at the Jr./Sr. High School which impact graduation and college placement. Also, we use the data derived from these assessments to measure our own efficacy in teaching each of the standards and to inform instructional decisions.

Safety & Security
Should any safety concerns come to our attention, they would be thoroughly investigated by the school and/or police department(s) as appropriate. Additionally, we have recently implemented technology that allows any staff member to initiate a variety of different emergency procedures from their cell phone or computer, saving important time in an emergency. This is all in addition to the training, drilling, assessing, and reflecting that occurs on a regular and consistent basis.
Please know that if there is anything that parents or the community should be aware of, we will absolutely notify you as soon as possible.
As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us!
WWRSD Wellness Event
PSO Information
Thank you so much to the PSO and parents who helped in demonstrating appreciation for our teachers! It was an amazing week of treats and we are honored by your support!
Please join us for a fun evening of bowling next Sunday, May 19th! All proceeds will support field day fun! Click here for more details.
We are a box tops school. Please trim your tops and send them in. Each team competes against one another to win prizes over the course of the year. The entire 6th grade won the most recent round! Orange boxes labeled for each team are on the drop-off table. If you shop at ShopRite, you can also sign up online to support the Middle School!
Pick-up and Parking
Please remember that with the limited space, we're asking that parents park in the A Field Lot or on surrounding streets when coming to the school. Also, the near parking lot can no longer be used for pick-up, as waiting for students creates gridlock and a safety concern, and blocks in parked cars without room for flexibility. Please pick-up in the A Field lot, on Second or Fourth Avenues, or work out another location that is convenient for you. We have bike racks in front of the school and excellent crossing guards both in front of the school and at Mill Street and Third Avenue.
