Third and Fourth Grades
Week of October 10
Special mass this week
Holy Rosary Parish
This Sunday, October 16; Holy Rosary Church will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary, at the noon mass (12:00)
We are asking students to attend this mass in full uniform and receive a free dress pass. Mr. G. Farias and myself, Mrs. Silva, would love to have the children sit with us as a group. We only ask that you do not just drop the children. Please come in and share in the celebration.
Religion
This week we are coordinating a very special mass - The children will be doing their readings in Spanish and we would love to have a lot of families there to share the Word of God with. Please join us.
Math
We plod along with our Multiplication and Division in larger whole numbers. So keep at those flash cards. The faster we can get those facts memorized the better for the children.
Language Arts
We just finished with Becoming Naomi Leon and we are now going to split the paperback novels between 3rd and 4th.
Third Grade will pick up Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Fourth Grade will pick up Fourth Grade Rats by Jerry Spinelli.
With these books the children will be able to take them home to share with you.
Social Studies
Fourth Grade continues learning about our beautiful green state of Washington.
Third Grade moves to learning about the Birth of our Nation starting from the American Revolution. Now the children know why we celebrate the 4th of July, and its name "Independence Day."
