An Exploration of the Many Religions Traditions that Have Shaped our Liberal Faith
This four session discussion class will use the book A Chosen Faith by John Buehrens and Forrest Church as a foundation for exploring together the six different kinds of religious traditions that are woven into our understanding as a faith community. It is likely that some of these traditions will speak to your faith understanding and other will not resonate at all, but expect to find at least two that are part of who you are religiously and spiritually. The first class will focus on the whole idea of sources and how the list came to be.
Each of the remaining sessions will explore two of the six traditions.
There are a few UUFC library copies of the book available, or you can order a copy new from the UUA bookstore or used from a variety of internet suppliers. Be sure to get one in advance and read the introductory materials before the first class on October 25th.
