A Note From the Nurse
Your students may not even know they are beginning to sweat differently!
At puberty, hormone changes occur that cause body odor when it comes into contact with bacteria on the skin.
This is a good time to discuss and create new DAILY routines with your preteens.
- Daily bathing with soap and water
- Deodorant/Antiperspirant
- Changing sweaty clothing -including underwear!
- Brushing and flossing teeth
