Close Reading & Text Dependent Questioning 6-12

Fisher and Frey have developed both a K-5 and a 6-12 book for TDQ

So far our district has used the k-5 book for a book study.

Douglas Fischer is one of the authors of the TDQ (Text Dependent Question) book.

A close reading of the Gettysburg Address

Please note that while this video segment is more lengthy than the others, it is a very excellent segment for ELA and History!

I have created a presentation for the close reading using a SMORE from CCLI training.

I would be glad to show you more about building a SMORE. SMORE is free and web based. SMORE is great because it helps to guide your lesson by having all of the resources available for the teacher and or the student to access various links, videos, etc without having to enter long URL codes. It can help the lesson to stay focused and allow students to work at their own pace.

Please contact me if you would like to create a SMORE for your lesson!
