What is Career Technical Education?
Massachusetts State-Approved CTE programs (also known as Chapter 74 Programs) provide comprehensive training designed to qualify you for entry level employment in a competitive field.
Application Process / Application for Admission
Admittance into Career and Technical Education is made following the guidelines within the Admission Policy. The Admission Policy is approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as well as the Weymouth School Committee.
WHS CTE Articulation Agreements
An Articulation Agreement is a written contract between the high school and a post-secondary institution regarding a specific career or technical program. The high school and the postsecondary institution faculty meet to determine similarities in the curriculum and develop a program pathway. Some agreements may grant guaranteed placement in a program while others may grant college credit for courses successfully completed in high school. Each agreement is individually developed to assure a sequence of progressive achievements leading to degrees or certificates in a program.
The Weymouth High School Career and Technical Education department offers many services to the public. Please keep in mind that our students are learning through the outside projects we receive and all fees related to the projects are used for materials, equipment, and shop maintenance.
All guests must enter the high school through the Security entrance.
