Mrs. Boschen's Weekly News

May 16 - May 20, 2016

This Week's News

We are rapidly approaching the end of the school year and there is still much to be done! In math this week we will be finishing up our MAPS unit on operations and algebraic thinking. We have been working really hard on equations!

For reading, we are combining our social studies economics unit. Students are reading novels with strong connections to economics and preparing for discussions around those economic ideas. We will be supplementing this reading with some content focused lessons, including one prepared by our North High pen pals!

We are also working on a science unit around physics. We have been using the WeDo 2.0 robots and will be sharing our different robots with the class this week. Each group is using a different motion to explain how forces are in motion.

And finally, we are working on exhibition. We are beginning the product phase this week, with the hopes of being mostly complete by Friday. It looks like it is going to be a very busy week!
