A School to Emulate

Memorial Elementary Bobcat Bulletin 2-15 through 2-11-16

Set Goals! Find Balance! GO HOME!!!

We are already in mid-February and beginning our state testing security trainings. This is the time when stress creeps in. Remember to find balance and take care of yourselves. Set reasonable goals, do what you can, and GO HOME! You must be healthy before you can offer anything to our students.

There is no student attendance on Monday, February 15th. This is a campus professional development day. Arrival time is 8 am and as stated last week, this day will be used for TELPAS calibration. We will hold two calibration sessions to allow everyone an opportunity to calibrate. The agenda can be found in Google in the Memorial Staff Folder - Staff Meeting Agendas - February PDH. I am off campus on Wednesday, February 17th for a district meeting. Our leadership meeting is cancelled.

We will resume Saturday school this week. Please remind students and parents that we will have Saturday school on February 20th.

This is a reminder to be sure that the student work displays around the building are reflective of the current instruction. You are free to bombard the hallways and your classrooms with all of the wonderful student work samples being created. It gives everyone who walks into the building a sneak peek into the wonderful work you do everyday. I most enjoy seeing the photos of students happy, working, and producing quality work.

Lastly, remember that "unknown" district personnel will enter the building using doors other than the main entrance. They will see how much of the building they can access before being addressed by staff and escorted to the main office. We got this!

Thanks everyone and let's have a great week!

That's HILARIOUS! Send your funnies my way...

A disciplinary notice went home explaining to a parent that her son could resolve a conflict through mediation. The next morning his mother called concerned because she knew he had issues, but didn't think he needed medication.

Kudos

Lara for stepping up and taking on Carolina's duties in her absence. For always smiling and going the extra mile in kindergarten and around the building. Elizabeth A. for having PERFECT attendance since her first day on the job more than two years ago!!! PTA & Staff Volunteers for making our Valentine's Day Dance a huge success!
