Authors in April

Wow! What a day it was on Friday, April 22nd! All of the authors were incredibly motivating. Several students came to me with stories they had written after being inspired by their author. I was so proud of our students - they were attentive, respectful, and they asked extremely insightful questions. The authors even commented on how well-behaved and prepared they were. 'Way to go Musson Students!

A huge "thank you" to the Musson PTA Authors in April Committee for all of their hard work in making this such a special event for our students. It is truly a unique experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

What's Happening in the Media Center?

Grades 2-5 started media projects that we will continue with for the next few weeks - everything from PowerPoint presentations to online comic strip creations to Animoto book trailers! Stay tuned for examples of all of these fabulous projects in the next newsletter!

Kindergarten and First Grade were busy with David LaRochelle projects in preparation for Authors in April. Check out the "mean green bean gang" below based on the book, How Martha Saved Her Parents from the Green Beans! We are continuing with author/illustrator and will move on to poetry soon.
